The award-winning Paragon Carousel is open seasonally from Easter Weekend until Halloween (weekends in spring and fall and daily during the summer).

WE WILL OPEN FOR OUR 89TH SEASON ON EASTER WEEKEND 2017!

Thanks to winning a grant from American Express the Paragon Carousel replaced all twelve doors to the building that houses the Paragon Carousel with beautiful wooden doors that replicate the original doors from 1928. The grant also allowed us to renovate all the windows above the doors so that now light streams into the building. Thank you!

Host an Event

Looking for a unique venue to host your special occasion? The Paragon Carousel provides a backdrop of beauty and history for making memories that last a lifetime.

During the summer season (mid-June through Labor Day), we are open to the public 7 days a week, and events are booked during Carousel operating hours.

Small Catered Events – (events with 50 or fewer Guests)

Bring in platters from your favorite deli or take-out from a local restaurant, and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Paragon Carousel during your party. Or our Preferred Vendors can provide a wide range of menu options from drop off platters to hot & cold stations with attendants and other services. Coming soon – our Preferred Vendor list!

Small Catered Events include unlimited carousel rides for your guests, and are scheduled during Carousel operating hours for a fee of $100 per hour, with a 2 hour minimum, for up to 25 Guests, and $175 per hour, with a 2 hour minimum, for 26 to 50 Guests. In addition to your scheduled event time, you are provided access to the facility for a thirty minute setup and a thirty minute breakdown.

Large Catered Events – (events with more than 50 guests)

It is said that the salty sea air increases your appetite. Located at a narrow spot on the Hull peninsular between Nantasket Beach and Hingham Bay, our lush green lawn provides a scenic setting to wow your Guests with fabulous food. Our preferred vendors provide catering, tents, tables, linen, dance floor, china, glassware, silverware and portable restrooms. Coming soon – our Preferred Vendor list!

Large Catered Events include frequent carousel rides for your guests, and are scheduled during Carousel operating hours. Fees range from $250 to $350 per hour (depending on size and logistics), with a 3 hour minimum.

Engagement or Wedding Pictures, Senior Photos and other Photography Events

The Paragon Carousel is available for professional photographer activities during regular Carousel operating hours for a $100 minimum fee. Please visit the Photography/Videography Policy page for details! Please note: Photographers/Videographers are not allowed to photograph children or any other guests.

Private Parties and Exclusive Use

Want to have the Paragon Carousel all to yourself? Then consider an “off season event”. We would be delighted to host you and your guests for exclusive use of the Paragon Carousel when we are closed to the public.

From our opening on Easter weekend through mid-June, and again from Labor Day through the end of October, we are open weekend days only. There are plenty of opportunities for weekend evening events and “anytime” weekday functions. Contact us at events@paragoncarousel.com to learn more.

Film and Video Shoots

Please contact us at events@paragoncarousel.com  to discuss opportunities to use the Paragon Carousel as the backdrop for a documentary, advertising, website link, movie or other commercial use.

Alcoholic Beverages

For the safety of all guests, only professional bartenders from a Licensed and Insured Bartending Company are allowed to serve alcoholic beverages at Paragon Carousel events. Our Preferred Vendors provide Bartending services, from beer and wine service, to full open bars. Coming soon – our Preferred Vendor list! A One Day Liquor License from the Hull Board of Selectmen is required for all alcoholic beverage service events. A four week minimum notice is needed for Friends of the Paragon Carousel to apply for a One Day License. All alcoholic beverages must be consumed in your party area. No food or beverage is allowed ON the Carousel. No alcoholic beverages may be removed from the building.

 

Photography and Videography Policy

Friends of the Paragon Carousel regularly produce newsletters and other publications, and posts content to the web and social media that feature the carousel and visitors.  Your presence here constitutes your consent to be photographed, filmed, and/or otherwise recorded for the purposes of Friends of the Paragon Carousel communications and related outreach activities, in perpetuity.  Note:  No photographs or videos may be taken of children at the Paragon Carousel.

Personal Photography and Videography

Photography and videography for personal, private, noncommercial use are allowed free of charge (exclusive of ride admissions) in all areas.  Personal photographs/videos may not be published, sold, reproduced, distributed, or otherwise commercially exploited in any manner.

To protect the objects being photographed and for the safety of our visitors, the following guidelines must be followed when taking personal, private, noncommercial photographs or videos at the Paragon Carousel:

  • No tripods, lights, tracks, and other types of equipment are allowed

Commercial Photography and Videography Inquiries

All photography and videography inquiries will be directed to the Friends of the Paragon Carousel Manager at info@paragoncarousel.com, who will decide whether the photography/videography inquiry is commercial in nature.  No commercial photography or videography may be taken without written permission from the Friends of the Paragon Carousel Manager.

Friends of the Paragon Carousel considers photography or videography “commercial” in nature when the images of Paragon Carousel grounds, gardens, events, activities, or exhibits are used as a visual background for another organization or to promote a product, firm, or organization.

Commercial Photography and Videography also includes:

  • Yearbook photo shoots
  • Family photo shoots
  • Wedding/Engagement photo shoots
